iGEMism

iGEMism is a movement that was found by us, a movement which aims to introduce the iGEM mentality to the world, a movement which aims to reach out to every person of our community as humanity.

In order to attract people to iGEMism, we conducted several activities and prepared certain things. This list includes preparing posters and videos, preparing a charter or the story of how this became a reality for the people to read and also reaching out to many people from around the world and introducing them to iGEM and iGEMism.

Surveys

Surveys are the most effective method for allocating information from large communities. With surveys, statistical information and a general idea of what the public believes can be achieved.

For this reason, we also made a survey on a total of 407 people. These surveys were conducted on the participants of E-Biko IT Olympiad and also the students of our school. During E-Biko, 124 survey forms were filled and 283 were taken from our school.

In our survey, the main topics were genetic engineering, synthetic biology, iGEM and scientific studies. There were a total of 10 questions.

Flash Game

Computers games are the most popular source of entertainment of our age. Many people from around the world step into the digital world each second.

To intrigue these people, we prepared our own flash game. The story of our flash game is related to our comics. In the game, you run in order to cool the world in fire.

Introducing People iGEM

The main theme of human practice is to make iGEM attractive to people and introduce iGEM.

To accomplish this, we went to many organizations, institutions and competitions in order to do presentations.

In these presentations, we did our best to explain what iGEM is, how the iGEM process works and what we do in iGEM.

We did introductions in 8 different events and institutes. Each was positive and fruitful. We would like to thank everyone who accepted us and gave their attention during these introductions.

Collaboration

This semester, we conducted a series of methods to collaborate with the NGSS_AEI_Turkey team.

We tried to help out as much as we can and they did the same.
