Lawrence Township
We would like to first, and foremost, thank Lawrence Township for encouraging its first iGEM team. Lawrence Township has always driven science and math forward in our community by providing the students with an entire building (MCIT) focused on science/math driven courses such as Project Lead the Way, the class which all of us have taken for four years. We would also like to thank Lawrence Township for allowing us to go to Cambridge to compete.
McKenzie Center for Innovation and Technology (MCIT)
The McKenzie Center for Innovation and Technology has been a home to the entire group for four years now. We all have taken numerous classes at MCIT, including the Biomedical Sciences courses that we completed this year. MCIT has provided us with amazing guidance and an even greater education that will give each one of us an edge in the years to come. So, thank you McKenzie teachers and staff! You've helped teach us everything we know today!
Indiana Health Industry Forum (IHIF)
The Indiana Health Industry Forum works to connect the health sciences community to one another. The forum's time and efforts are much appreciated by the iGEM team, as they made sure to include us in an article in the Biofuture magazine. Our team would love to thank you IHIF for working with us!
Rimedion
Rimedion is a medical lab specializing in the research and development of treatments for genetic disorders using gene therapy. The business is Indiana based. Rimedion's president and CEO, Bill Vincent, has been working with our team, allowing us to tour their facilities and helping us to understand genetics, research, and 'real life' lab work. We would like to thank Rimedion for their help, time, and efforts to push our team in the right direction.
Dr. Mark Goebl
Dr. Mark Goebl is a professor at Indiana University, and has been a real asset to our team. Dr. Goebl has been working with yeast for many years, lucky for us. He has contributed his knowledge, time, and equipment to the MCIT iGEM team. We aren't sure what we would have done without his dedication to helping our team. We thank you profusely Dr. Goebl for your time and extreme efforts to help out the MCIT iGEM team!
