Project
We want to build a genetic system, which can test and remove phosphate, and we want to make it a product. Our product contains two devices. Device I contains a promoter, which will be induced in phosphate starvation, a suppressor protein, and a RFP system. Device II contains a promoter, which will be limited by suppressor protein in Device I, a PPK coding sequence that can digest phosphate. We also have a GFP with Degradation tag called LVA. When the concentration of phosphate is high, Device I will be limited and Device 2 will be activated; Device II will start to remove phosphate while the water will show green fluorescence. After a small period of time, the concentration of phosphate decreases, Device I will be induced and it will limit Device II. Water will show red fluorescence, which means the work has already finished.
