This year, our human practices consisted of conducting interviews with mental health professionals, creating educational videos, presenting to schools, gathering parental feedback through a survey, and discussing the iGEM program with our school boards. Our main focus was increasing public knowledge about synthetic biology and iGEM through education. As Oxytocin has been related to group learning, we wanted to put an emphasis on education. It is our hope that our efforts will lead to a more informed and involved public. Synthetic biology is the future, and we want our local citizens to be prepared and excited to meet it.

Feel free to navigate between sections of our Human Practices component.
