Team:CIDEB-UANL Mexico/Acknowledgements

For this project we’ve received a lot of support from different areas. First of all, we would like to express our gratitude to our school’s Principal, Dr. Socorro Guajardo and the UANL. They invested on our project so that we could obtain all the necessary materials and bring out a good job. We were provided with lab equipment, working space, working time and patience; a project so big couldn’t have been done without all of their help.

We are also thankful to our parents and family, who’ve been a great support to us. Thanks to them we could transport ourselves to places we needed to go; we had the money to buy things and materials needed for the different activities we were organizing; and even though, at first, they didn’t know what we were doing, they let us continue being part of the team.

Other people we have to thank include Miss Jannet Salinas, who’s responsible for the iGEM project being able to be carried out in our high school, and the rest of the teachers who are part of the team and helped us in everything we needed.

A really special thanks to our instructors, Heber Torres and Daniel Rodríguez, who taught us everything we needed to know about synthetic biology to carry out the project; who checked our drafts; organized team meetings, and gave us the tools to finish all of our work. They helped us grow as better, smarter, and more responsible people, and allowed us to experience one of the best experiences we could’ve had.

Finally, it’s important to thank the iGEM foundation, for giving us the reason, opportunity and means to be part of this competition. It’s something that has scarred us for the rest of our lives.
