Facebook Page Team from CIDEB takes in count the importance of social networks now days, as well as the advantages they can offer. One of them is that social networks have wide diffusion means that allows a huge number of people to be aware of what’s happening, mainly teenagers, which are the ones that have less knowledge about synthetic biology. A Facebook page was created, where news, videos, comments about iGEM, stuff about team, and synthetic biology were uploaded in order get more people interested in synthetic biology and iGEM; besides, it might connect us with other teams. The objective was accomplished in this human practice’ activity, for the page got 348 likes, and its maximum was of 1,433 people. Besides, it helped a student from Faculty of Chemistry, UANL to be informed about college team. Also, through this Facebook page, it was shown the interest from a student girl in iGEM, and joining next year’s team. . |
