Kindergarten "Estefania Castañeda" (Date: June 18, 2013)
Description:Another visit we made to a school was this. The special thing is that unlike the other this was a kindergarten where children were 3 to 5 years; efforts to explain about genetic engineering were so hard that even our team leader had to help (Mc Jannet Salinas). When we arrived, we were presented to children in a fun way and we did not give them a class but briefly explained what were a gene, bacteria, and genetic engineering.

Activity:This occupied most of the time spent with children.
1. First of all, this was planned by our classmate Claudia, who designed a book cover and two pages. In the cover were pasted Vipthor along with a DNA molecule and the double helix, both of them were trimmings. In the pages there were several children with different phenotypes. She also took care to devise to use the new Frutsi's Legos bottles as BioBricks to use them as well as Legos trimmings figures to represent "gene circuits".
2. It was explained first that our Vipthor is a bacterium and is a secret agent (by the way it dresses), and talked a little about DNA and mentioned the movie Jurassic Park.
3. We joined them in teams of 3 children and gave each team two of the figures to arm them with juice cans (BioBricks), they had the colors yellow, blue, red and green.
4. When finished it was explained that this was a gene and gave a characteristic such as children's book.
5. Were each given a sticker of Vipthor and candies as prizes.
