Laboratory Rules
One of the most visible problems that we noted in the laboratory to interview several of our colleagues was that they did not know the rules of the laboratory and the precautions to take when using the material, this claiming that the regulations that were in the lab were too extensive and contained words too technical and therefore did not understand most or drew attention not read them. This meant that most of the student population did not know the correct way to work in the laboratory area and this could cause a number of problems that would cover from a failed practice, to damage someone.

Seeing this Safety team set out to solve this problem. We summarize regulations trying to not lose anything, and use colloquial words for easy understanding, also use bright colors and bold images alluding making them. Subsequently printed in tabloid size (measures 27.94cm x 43.18 cm), to the school board and managers of laboratories the idea was very usefully and necessary so they don’t only printed also framed it and placed in the most strategic points of the three laboratories in the High school.

The security rules in laboratory are:
1. You must use bata and lenses in the laboratory, in case of use corrosive substances use rubber gloves.
2. Follow all directions from the teacher or laboratory director.
3. Studying each practice prior to class.
4. In the event of an accident please advise the teacher or the laboratory director.
5. Do not eat, drink or smoke in the laboratory.
6. Do not turn on fire near flammable liquids.
7. Never add water on a acid, always add acid to water in small quantities.
8. If you have contact with corrosive substances, wash with plenty of water for 10 minutes.
9. When hot test tubes do not roam to any colleague.
10. When hot liquid in a test tube, start from the top toward the bottom.
11. You should not play or run in the laboratory.
12. When handling glass must wait for it to cool.
13. Rubber connections in brittle material must not be forced, it may draw with some detergent.
14. Never warm closed systems.
15. When armes teams use media that support either in the table.
16. Continuously monitor any appliance with high center of gravity, as well as the heating systems.
17. All materials must be returned clean and full.
